Mental Health
Care. Structure. Family. Faith. Accountability. Restoration.
Mental health is one of the defining issues of our time. It affects families, schools, churches, workplaces, courts, law enforcement, prisons, hospitals, and communities.
I believe mental health policy must be serious, practical, and grounded in both compassion and accountability. People need access to care, but they also need structure, support, responsibility, and community.
My approach is shaped by The Four Pillars Model: psychiatry, therapy, family, and faith community. Real recovery requires more than crisis response. It requires treatment, counseling, relationships, spiritual grounding, daily structure, and long-term support.
I support expanding access to psychiatric care, therapy, crisis stabilization, addiction recovery, peer support, school-based mental health resources, family education, church and community partnerships, and practical recovery planning.
I believe America must take the youth mental health crisis seriously. Social media companies should be held accountable when their platforms contribute to addiction, anxiety, depression, exploitation, or harm to children. Protecting children’s mental health is not anti-technology. It is pro-family, pro-responsibility, and pro-future.
I also support aggressive action against fentanyl, opioids, and addiction. The opioid crisis is a public health crisis, a public safety crisis, and a family crisis. We need enforcement against traffickers, education for young people, treatment for those struggling, and accountability for corporations or actors that contributed to the crisis.
Mental health should never be used as a blanket excuse to avoid responsibility. But it must be taken seriously as part of how we prevent crime, strengthen families, reduce despair, and restore people to stable, productive lives.
“America must confront the mental health crisis with treatment, family support, faith-based community, youth protection, addiction recovery, and accountability-centered restoration.” -Christopher Aldana
